New Zealand Pacific Studio is an award-winning artists' residency programme, employing an internationally-recognised operational model whereby a core of sponsored Fellowships are at the heart of our programme while self-funded residencies are offered to selected practitioners seeking to engage and develop their practice.
Founded in 2011, we have hosted nearly 500 creative practitioners from New Zealand and abroad. They have made connections that enrich their practice and our local and shared communities. Together, we build personal and collective creative capability and solidarity.
From 2001 to 2018, we operated from the historic Normandell House, in Kaiparoro Mount Bruce, at the border of Masterton and Tararua districts. We currently operate from various homesteads across the region, pairing residents to the appropriate space.
