Cat Blanchet is an artist in residence for six weeks in the NZPS cottage (Jan & Feb 2016). She comes to us from Vancouver Island, in Western Canada, courtesy of a grant from the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation.
Cat has a BA in Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She will use her time at NZPS to compile a collection of reference materials to inform her studio practice. She’s already busy researching our local flora, fauna and landscapes through drawing and watercolour, and plans to use her NZPS experience to start a new body of work back in Canada.
