Jhan Lindsay is a Wellington based musician, composer and teacher. Spanning genres her work is emotional, often somber and reflective. Taking inspiration from life events, nature and the weather, completing an album of original works released in 2015 ‘Jhan Lindsay and The Chattelines’. The opportunity to compose a set series of work at NZPS is a superb opportunity to investigate local history and share her love of music and performance with young local musicians and the arts community.
The works will be inspired by the Wairarapa region. Once composed the works will be performed by Jhan Lindsay and musicians and students from surrounding schools. The performance will also be recorded.
