Jan is a full time primary school art teacher working with 600 students and has been teaching for 30 years. She belongs to the Firestation Print Studio in Melbourne. She also loves to travel and finds her trips, when she can go, a great source of inspiration. She also likes walking and looking at the shapes in nature for ideas.
During her residency Jan used the surrounding landscape as inspiration for a lino print artist book and collected ideas for making collagraphs. The image is one of two lino prints that Jan produced during her residency - "Over the Rimutaka".
