  • Emerging Artist Fellowship - Application Deadline 15 May midnight - Closed
    With thanks to donations from the Wairarapa community, New Zealand Pacific Studio invites applications for a two-week residency at its multi-cultural residency centre in rural Wairarapa - a year-round facility for artists from New Zealand and abroad.
    The purpose of this Fellowship is to support an artist at an early stage of his/her development. The Fellowship must be taken before 31 October 2016.

  • Gaye Sutton has been selected as the 2016 Masterton Fellow and will be in residence for three weeks in March, including World Storytelling Day on March 20th, when public activities will be held. Her first novel was released in 2015 and during the Fellowship supported by Masterton District Council, she will work on "Change The World One Story At a Time", a book of her stories.

  • Artists/writers/researchers working in any media are welcomed to apply for this three-week residency/fellowship at NZPS. The Masterton Fellow will be in residence for three weeks at an historic 1911 villa, with accommodation sponsored (valued at $975), an art materials stipend ($300), complimentary transportation from airport or train/bus stations in Masterton/Palmerston North, and assistance from Community Coordinator. Funded through Community Development Fund, Masterton District Council.

  • New Zealand Pacific Studio announces that Tokyo resident Yukari Nikawa has been selected as our 2015 Ema Saiko Fellow. Yukari Nikawa writes beautifully crafted tanka and haiku, and we look forward to her residency with us in early 2016. It was a difficult selection process, with many very strong applicants, and we thank everyone for their application.
